PERUPETRO PROMOTED AREAS WITH POTENTIAL TO INVESTORS IN SOUTH KOREA AND COLOMBIA
PERUPETRO S.A. attracted the interest of investors during its participation in the "Wold Gas Conference 2022" (WGC), in the city of Daegu, South Korea, from May 23 to 27, an event that brought together global producers, exploration companies and hydrocarbon production, service companies and suppliers.
WGC 2022 is the most important natural gas forum organized by the International Gas Union (IGU) every three years. PERUPETRO S.A. participated with an exhibition booth where it presented information related to the basins with gas potential, the Madre de Dios basin and the Offshore basins, as well as the mature fields of the Peruvian Northwest with contracts about to expire, the results of the magnetotelluric studies, the multi-client agreements and available areas.
The promotion of areas available for hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation activities seeks to attract new investments for the signing of License Contracts, Technical Evaluation Agreements and/or Multiclient Agreements, especially in areas with gas potential, considering the recommendations of the report issued by the Multisectoral Committee for the increase of gas reserves and the promotion of natural gas massification processes, especially in areas with gas potential.
The Peruvian delegation was led by the Minister Counselor of the Diplomatic Service of the Peruvian Embassy in South Korea, Juan José Plasencia Vásquez, in addition to the presence of the Head of Trade and Investment Affairs, Jeancarlo Breña Alegre. The support of Embassy officials was part of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote greater foreign investment in the country's hydrocarbon sector.
PERUPETRO S.A. also participated in the international event "ICE 2022", which was held from April 19 to 22 in Cartagena, Colombia, organized by the AAPG, whose objective was to bring together multiple professionals from the energy sector in the region, to exchange knowledge, solutions and strategies for success in times of transition in the hydrocarbon sector.
Mr. Carlos Bianchi, PERUPETRO's Contracts Supervision Manager, participated in the meeting of National Agencies and was a speaker at the Peru Session, while Mr. Alejandro Quispe, Reserves and Resources Specialist, presented "The future of blocks producers from the northwest of Peru”, presentation in virtual format that was projected in the International Pavilion of the event.
Additionally, there was an exhibition booth in which information on Direct negotiations, Bidding Rounds, Technical Evaluation Agreements, how to obtain a License Contract, Multiclient Agreements in Peru and information on the Northwest Blocks.
The participation of PERUPETRO S.A. at international events, attracts the attention of investors and allows the dissemination and promotion of the investment opportunities presented by the country. In addition, participation in the meeting of National Agencies is an excellent opportunity to share experiences on common issues with our peers from other countries of the region.
