PERUPETRO HOSTS EDUCATIONAL TALK ON OIL FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

PERUPETRO held an educational talk titled “Oil and Its Importance in Society,” aimed at third, fourth, and fifth-year high school students from I.E. 5022 "Francisco Izquierdo Ríos," located in the Bellavista district.

The presentation was a valuable opportunity to introduce younger generations to the fundamental role that hydrocarbons play in the country’s development. During the talk, topics such as the hydrocarbon value chain and the sector’s economic and energy contributions were discussed.

The students actively participated, expressing their questions and concerns about the hydrocarbon industry and showing a particular interest in understanding the investment promotion process, which facilitates oil exploration and production in Peru. This initiative reaffirms PERUPETRO’s commitment to fostering education and awareness about energy resources among younger generations.

Such initiatives not only contribute to the academic growth of the students but also aim to inspire future generations to consider careers in the energy sector. By providing clear and accessible information, PERUPETRO promotes a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, as well as the importance of responsible resource management.

Furthermore, by involving young people in these conversations, PERUPETRO reinforces its commitment to sustainability and responsible development, highlighting the need for a new vision in the use of hydrocarbons that benefits both the economy and the environment. This way, students are expected to not only become informed consumers but also future leaders and advocates for a more conscious and sustainable energy sector.
