The Executive Branch has appointed José Mantilla Castillo as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of PERUPETRO S.A. The appointment was formalized through Supreme Resolution No. 013-2024-EM, published in the official newspaper El Peruano.

Mantilla brings over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, during which he has managed commercial and operational teams and developed business strategies and quality standards in both national and multinational hydrocarbon companies. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and has specializations in energy efficiency, project management, and multidisciplinary team leadership. Additionally, he is a member of Women in Energy, a professor at the Graduate School of Universidad de Lima, and a lecturer at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.

José Mantilla Castillo's appointment as Chairman of PERUPETRO's Board is significant for the company, especially in a context where the oil and gas industry faces key challenges and opportunities.
