PERUPETRO INAUGURATES LIAISON OFFICE IN TRUJILLO TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HYDROCARBONS SECTOR
On August 21, 2024, PERUPETRO S.A. officially opened its new Liaison Office in Trujillo, located in the facilities of the College of Economists of La Libertad. The purpose of this opening is to strengthen the communication and relationship with the different stakeholders in the region, in order to make hydrocarbon exploration and production projects viable.
The creation of this office is part of the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement signed between PERUPETRO and the Economists Association of La Libertad, which seeks to promote joint cooperation activities and mutual technical assistance. This agreement will be key for the promotion of hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation projects in the region.
During the inauguration ceremony, PERUPETRO highlighted the strategic importance of the Trujillo Basin, located off the coasts of La Libertad and Lambayeque, which has the potential to transform the economy of both regions, generating significant benefits for both the local population and the country as a whole.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Economists, Francisco Huerta, stressed the importance of attracting investments to boost the economic development of the region, pointing out that the hydrocarbons sector represents a great opportunity to boost the economy of La Libertad.
With this new office in Trujillo, PERUPETRO adds an important piece in its decentralization strategy. The company currently has offices in Talara (Piura), Iquitos (Loreto), Pucallpa (Ucayali), and will soon open an office in Chiclayo (Lambayeque), reinforcing PERUPETRO's commitment to the energy development of the country.
